In the hush of teal-lit depths,
one eye whispers secrets only the water knows.
Orange sparks drift like fireflies,
bubbles cradle her quiet hold.
Half-seen, half-hidden, she lingers,
a gaze that pulls the dark to light.
In shadowed waters, she beckons—
a muse who haunts the very edge of sight
Me with Abyssal Muse at the Barony, part of the New Cunningham Open Art Exhibition
A lot of people have asked me what the words Abyssal Muse mean.
Abyssal comes from “abyss,” meaning very deep or bottomless - like the depths of the ocean.
Muse refers to a source of inspiration, especially in art or creativity.
Together, Abyssal Muse suggests a deep, mysterious source of inspiration, like something hidden in the shadows or depths that sparks imagination.
